Targeting investment in disadvantaged young people
Collaborated with our NGO partner Impetus to define how best to target funding and support for disadvantaged young people at risk of falling outside mainstream schooling.
Alternative Provision (AP) is education for pupils who do not attend mainstream school, for reasons including exclusion and illness. Our team worked to define the AP market’s size, structure and cost drivers, to identify trends, participants, current outcomes and funding sources, and from there to determine with the Impetus team where and how to focus their limited resources.

Strategic plan for a growing environmental initiative
Developed a strategic and operational plan to accelerate the impact of an international initiative that raises awareness of nature-based solutions’ role in mitigating the effects of climate change.
Based in reaffirmed purpose and outcomes, and with a clear line of sight to funding, we worked to define the organisation’s 5-year strategy, mandate and governance. Together we went on to design the operating model and resourcing needed to enable successful delivery, and to develop the business case and implementation plan.

Improving technology sector access and diversity
Supported the expansion plans of a digital skills education charity focused on widening access to tech careers for low income, female and ethnic minority young people.
Expansion to a new 6th form facility formed a key part of the charity’s ambitious growth plans. We worked with management to identify the most promising schools to target in the new catchment area. Through desk research and internal interviews, we helped management develop a strategically considered and tiered outreach plan that fed into a broader outreach strategy for the organisation.

With a major UK Telco, we reconfigured the customer service delivery model to realise £30m savings and enhance performance.
Over 12 months, our combined client and consultant teams implemented a programme to consolidate the call centre footprint and rationalise outsourced partnerships, exit high-cost sites, and increase cross-selling and multi-branding. The rapid transition was delivered with minimal impact on customers, and left the business well-positioned to cost effectively expand their proposition.
