John has four decades of strategy, marketing and commercial experience, including operational improvement, change and transformation, focused particularly in the consumer, leisure, and retail sectors.

A former Professor of Marketing with Stanford and LBS, John then spent 10 years leading projects with MAC Group/Gemini Consulting. He headed Gemini’s Consumer & Retail Division, and was global Head of Innovation. He went on to transform and build an international professional services business as CEO of SHL Group.

He is also Chairman of the project management firm Chaucer Consulting, and a Visiting Professor of Management at Cass Business School.
