Variety, challenge and impact

After exploring different career paths through internships and career events, I gradually found clarity on what I was looking for: a role combining analytical rigor with human insight, a fast-paced, project-based workflow, and the chance to work in small, close-knit teams. When I met Eden McCallum at a career event, the firm stood out immediately. It checked all my boxes—and more. The glimpse of the culture I experienced struck a rare balance of high performance with humility and warmth. I saw a place where I could learn quickly, contribute meaningfully, and feel part of something genuinely collaborative.

Now, a little over a year in, I can say the role has exceeded expectations in terms of variety, challenge, and impact. I’ve built financial models for CFOs, presented company assessments for investment teams, and learned about all the ins-and-outs of various niche markets I hadn’t even thought of before joining. All of this has happened in small teams alongside top-notch managers who not only teach and guide but also truly value your input. From early on, you are trusted with real responsibilities and amid all this, there is a sense of excitement from cracking complex problems.

What has stood out just as much is the ‘internal’ Eden McCallum experience. The culture is often described as a ‘warm bath’—from day one, you’re supported by the analyst and associate consultant group, your mentor, the broader team, and senior colleagues who are always open to meaningful (and less serious) conversations. The firm places strong emphasis on your development through small-group training in Amsterdam and London. Socially, the entrepreneurial spirit comes through in the many fun and meaningful activities—ski trips, Secret Santa, and impact days for social causes—which you can help organize through small committees that shape office life.

My first year at Eden McCallum has been both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling. It’s gone by incredibly fast, but the richness of the experience makes it feel as though I’ve been part of the firm much longer. I’ve been challenged, supported, and inspired—and I’ve grown more than I imagined possible in such a short span. If you’re someone who thrives on variety, values a supportive yet ambitious culture, and wants to make a real impact from day one, I couldn’t recommend Eden McCallum more highly.
