With a macro-economics degree from the University of Amsterdam, Joris joined BCG in Amsterdam as an Associate, where he spent three years working on projects across a range of industries before doing an MBA at Columbia University, New York.

Joris then returned to BCG, where he worked mainly for banks, insurers and pension funds, supporting growth strategies, PMI, digital strategies and organisational design. After another seven years, he left as Principal to pursue an old dream of becoming active in Amsterdam politics.

Joris served four years on the Amsterdam City Council, representing his party on urban development and city planning. He also continued consulting as an independent, and, having often worked through Eden Mc Callum, he joined the internal team in 2018.

Joris enjoys running, cycling and football (both as a player and spectator) and loves to travel with his family.
