Social impact and passion for sports

As a keen swimmer and triathlete, I was fortunate enough to compete at a National level whilst at school and university. So, when I started at Eden McCallum I wanted to continue to challenge myself mentally and physically.

Eden McCallum has provided me with exciting projects and opportunities in multiple industries. However, I was keen to try and bring some of my sporting passion into the office as well. Therefore, when I heard that numerous staff take part in the annual “Race for Life” I was inspired to try and organise a similar competitive sporting event to raise money for a great cause. I approached our NGO partner, as well as our founding partners, who were all keen to get involved. With their help, we have been able to enter four teams for the “Impetus PEF Charity Triathlon” in September, providing an opportunity for the office and external consultants to come together to compete, support and raise money for a great charity.

Impetus PEF provides support for 20 charities with funds and business skills to help them transform the lives of economically disadvantaged 11-24 years olds in the UK and ensure those young people get the support they need to succeed in education, find and keep jobs, and achieve their potential.

Not only has Eden McCallum allowed me to continue my passion for competitive sport but has also helped me to contribute to our social responsibility as a company. I am proud that we are able to make a difference while building on the great community of consultants and staff at Eden McCallum.

Fun facts: I have been a National Swimming Champion in two countries; the UK and Kenya. I am a passionate geographer and founded the Oxford University Geography Society. As a junior I was a British Water Polo Champion
